Learning from Audit

A key function of the Partnership is to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of what is done by partner agencies individually and collectively to safeguard children and vulnerable adults and to identify ways to improve practice and the safeguarding system.  Multi-agency auditing, as part of  wider quality assurance activity, supports continuous learning in the partnership.

Learning from these audits, and other quality assurance activity, can be found below:

Pre-birth CAFs and Vulnerable Mothers to be – this audit focused on whether we identify vulnerable mothers to be at the earliest opportunity, whether any assessment is sufficient and the impact this had on the outcomes for the child.

Use of neglect as a category in Child Protection Planning – this audit explored whether the category of neglect was overused in child protection planning.
